Construct Audio/Visual and Photography Studio
Fort Bragg, NCZAPATA designed the renovation of a historic; circa 1935 “Mule Barn” for the Directorate of
Information Management at Fort Bragg will use the 7,100 SF building as an audio, video, and photography studio. Design
included the demolition of the existing interior construction of A/V recording facility, photography studios, office space,
refurbishment of historic doors and windows, construction of historic replica doors, roof replacement, and electrical and
mechanical systems replacement.

Charles George Landfill Superfund Site Operations and Maintenance
Charles George Landfill, Tyngsboro, MAH&S provides routine and non-routine long term operations, maintenance
and monitoring support to a former uncontrolled landfill site in Northern Massachusetts. This 69-acre closed landfill consists
of two pump stations with extraction wells, chemical feed systems, an effluent monitoring station, a flare for methane gas
control and a main control building. The groundwater extraction and chemical feed systems are monitored by a SCADA system
using Intellution FIX software that records flow, pH, and temperature data on the site computer.

Schofield Barracks, HIZAPATA completed a Munitions and Explosives of Concern (MEC) Investigation and Removal
Action at the Schofield Barracks Urban Assault Course (UAC), Battle Area Complex (BAX), and Qualification Training Range (QTR).
The project consisted of approximately 1,500 acres, in multiple locations, within an existing larger training range.

FORSCOM/USARC Annex at the Old Bowley School Renovation
Fort Bragg, NCZAPATA designed the renovation of the Old Bowley School to office space. The Old Bowley
School is a historic, circa 1953, nine-building complex of 54,000 SF. ZAPATA’s design included converting all the
classroom spaces into private and cubicle workspaces; renovating three conference rooms (one capable for SIPR),
three training rooms, several storage spaces, and a large auditorium; and upgrading all buildings to be ADA accessible.

NAVFAC SE SWMU 24 and Pier Charlie Debris Removal
Naval Weapons Station Charleston, SCH&S performed surgical excavation and disposal of 4,000 tons of RCRA
hazardous and non-hazardous construction debris at SWMU 24 and demolished and disposed of 12 creosote laden bumper boxes
at the Naval Weapons Station Charleston, SC. Debris was present in a densely overgrown forested area requiring removal of
dense vegetation while avoiding damage to trees greater than 6 inches in diameter.

Owner Representative Services for Southminster Retirement Community
Charlotte, NCZAPATA performed construction management for a major addition and renovation to Southminster Retirement
Community that included the addition of two Independent Living Apartment Wings, the Wellness (Health Clinic) Center, indoor swimming
pool and spa, and two underground parking garages. The project included the renovation of two dining facilities, and Activity Wing,
all independent living apartment buildings, and the Health Care Center.

Mobile Firing Range Decommissioning
Naval Weapons Station Charleston, SCH&S performed a mobile firing range decontamination and decommissioning TO under our
ID/IQ environmental services contract for the NWS Charleston, SC. The mobile firing range consisted of a 40 foot long, steel plate
reinforced box trailer with three shooting ranges. The trailer was lined with plywood and rubber sheeting and had a series of baffles
behind the target area to capture bullets. The primary contaminant of concern with the decontamination was lead from the bullets.
